Members of our family (some with over 40 years of experience) will hand select your meat and custom-cut your order just the way you like it. Freshness
The meat and local seafood you receive with your order has never been frozen. Freezing meat adversely affects the taste, tenderness, flavor, and texture. However, a few select seafood items caught outside our geographic region are shipped frozen to preserve freshness (i.e. lobster tails, shrimp, etc.). Any item that is shipped in the frozen state is indicated in the product description.
We receive meat and seafood deliveries daily. To ensure optimal quality, all orders are freshly cut and filled on-demand. We vacuum-seal your fresh meat and seafood items and then ship these products in special, extra-thick insulated containers. We also ship your order with advanced cooling gel packs. These gel packs keep your items cold during shipping; yet, the gel packs will not freeze your order. The gel packs will partially—and even fully—melt during transit, while keeping your meat and seafood perfectly chilled.
